Hilton Garden Inn Overland Park is seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead our hotel to new levels of guest satisfaction, team engagement, and financial success. What You'll Do
- Lead all day-to-day hotel operations while creating an exceptional guest experience.
- Champion a guest-first culture that reflects Hilton brand standards and Western States Lodging & Management's Personal Touch Culture.
- Personally drive sales by conducting sales calls, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director of Sales & Operations, Revenue Management team, and on-property sales team to develop and execute annual business, sales, marketing, and operating plans.
- Analyze STR reports, market trends, and competitive data to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Lead weekly revenue and sales strategy meetings to evaluate performance and adjust pricing and inventory strategies.
- Represent the hotel within the local community, Convention & Visitors Bureau, and industry organizations.
- Oversee hotel financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, P&L management, cash flow, accounts receivable, and expense control.
- Prepare and present monthly financial results and forecasts to regional leadership and ownership.
- Recruit, hire, coach, mentor, and develop department leaders and hotel associates.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative workplace built on trust, respect, and teamwork.
- Ensure payroll accuracy and maintain employee records and documentation.
- Maintain compliance with Hilton brand standards, safety regulations, labor laws, and company policies.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas consistently meet quality expectations.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure readiness for brand audits and quality assurance inspections.
What We're Looking For
- Proven success leading hotel operations with a strong background in sales, business development, and revenue growth.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, hotel property management systems (PMS), and revenue management tools.
- A hands-on leadership style with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as business needs require.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Three to five years of progressive hotel leadership experience, with previous General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience strongly preferred.
