Description

Western States Lodging & Management is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of the new TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the hotel, including operations, financial performance, sales, guest satisfaction, team development, and compliance with Marriott brand standards and company policies.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop the hotel team
  • Manage the daily operation of the hotel while maintaining Marriott brand standards
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, payroll, labor management, and team performance
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and expense control
  • Monitor hotel financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals
  • Review invoices, manage purchasing, and maintain cost controls
  • Partner with sales and revenue management to maximize occupancy and revenue
  • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service throughout the hotel
  • Resolve guest concerns and operational issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all applicable regulations
  • Foster a positive team culture and maintain Western States Lodging & Management's Personal Touch Culture

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Hotel General Manager
  • Marriott brand experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing hotel financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, payroll, and expense management
  • Experience leading, developing, and retaining hotel teams
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with hotel operating systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and as business needs require
