Nxt Property Management is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to support our community at Oquirrh Hills in Magna, Utah. We're looking for someone dependable, motivated, and experienced in property maintenance who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment for residents.

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance needs of the community, helping preserve the property while delivering excellent service to residents and supporting onsite operations.

This role works closely with the property team to ensure apartments, common areas, and grounds are maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Complete general maintenance service requests in occupied apartment homes
• Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, appliances, electrical, and general building maintenance
• Turn vacant apartments and prepare units for new move-ins
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property
• Help maintain common areas, amenities, and exterior spaces
• Assist with property curb appeal, light groundskeeping, and overall community appearance
• Communicate effectively with residents regarding maintenance needs and repairs
• Work alongside office and maintenance team members to support daily property operations

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Pay: $19+ per hour, depending on experience

Qualifications

Required:

• 1+ year of maintenance experience in multifamily housing, hospitality, facilities, or a related field
• Working knowledge of general repairs and building maintenance
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Basic computer or smartphone proficiency for work orders and communication
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Preferred:

• Apartment maintenance or make-ready experience
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, or carpentry
• Experience with exterior upkeep or grounds maintenance
