Tennessee Distilling Group is a distiller of traditional Tennessee Whiskey, American Bourbon, Rye, Corn, and Single Malt Whiskeys. We provide our brand partners across North America and around the world with new-make laydown whiskey, aged whiskey, contract storage, contract bottling, and private label/exclusive brand programs. Located in Columbia, Tennessee – just a one-hour drive south of Nashville, Tennessee Distilling Group operations encompass three production campuses spanning over 150 acres with 2 independent distillery operations, a dedicated food-grade contract bottling facility, and contract storage warehouses for over 400,000 barrels.

ARE YOU THE RETAIL MANAGER OUR TEAM NEEDS?

  • 3+ years of retail management experience (spirits, hospitality, or specialty retail preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of bourbon, whiskey, and spirits
  • Experience with inventory management and Point of Sale systems
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • An alcohol server permit or the ability to obtain within 3 months
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment

 

Preferred qualification:

  • Experience managing business social media accounts

As the Retail Manager, you are the heartbeat of the store, starting each day by ensuring operations run smoothly while setting the tone for your team and guests; you oversee opening and closing procedures, manage cash handling and reporting, guide customers through tastings with confidence and warmth, share deep product knowledge, and turn everyday visits into memorable brand moments, all while mentoring part-time staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with alcohol regulations, collaborating on social media engagement, and creating an organized, visually appealing environment that drives sales and reflects the quality of Tennessee Distilling's spirits.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position working primarily during regular business hours, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support tastings, peak traffic, and business needs.
