We are seeking an exceptional Director of Membership - a refined, relationship-driven sales leader - to guide our membership strategy, build lasting partnerships, and shape the growth of this remarkable community. The Opportunity

As the Director of Membership, you will serve as the face of Varcity - leading all sales, membership, and marketing efforts with the grace and poise of a premier hospitality professional. You'll curate personalized experiences for prospective members and families, cultivate strategic referral relationships, and champion the Varcity lifestyle through immersive events, refined presentations, and elevated service.

You will partner closely with the General Manager and corporate leadership to shape a culture of excellence - ensuring every interaction reflects Varcity's Personal Touch Culture and Western States' commitment to hospitality, warmth, and trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead with distinction: Drive membership growth, revenue, and occupancy through sophisticated sales leadership and strategic marketing execution.
• Cultivate relationships: Build purposeful partnerships with prospects, referral partners, and university networks - embodying the warmth and professionalism of the Varcity brand.
• Curate memorable experiences: Host exceptional presentations and immersive tours that convey the luxury, lifestyle, and legacy of Varcity.
• Deliver flawless follow-through: Ensure every inquiry, lead, and conversation receives prompt, personalized attention and ongoing engagement.
• Champion excellence: Uphold the highest standards of presentation across all touchpoints - from event staging to the member experience within the community.
• Lead with data and insight: Manage CRM systems, track key performance metrics, and drive informed strategies that exceed sales and occupancy goals.
• Represent the brand: Act as a true ambassador - presenting with elegance, authenticity, and hospitality at every interaction.

What We're Looking For

We seek a seasoned sales professional with a hospitality mindset and a genuine passion for people. You are confident yet gracious - a polished presenter who thrives in high-touch environments and understands the nuances of premier sales.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, hospitality, or related field (or equivalent leadership experience).
• 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in premier hospitality, private clubs, premium residential, or high-end travel sectors.
• Located or willing to relocate to West Lafayette, Indiana.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Deep understanding of high-end consumer behavior and personalized service.
• Proven ability to craft and execute strategic sales and marketing plans.
• Proficiency in CRM and data-driven decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with warmth, elegance, and integrity.
