Red Stone Inn, located in the heart of scenic Moab, Utah, is currently hiring a reliable and experienced Hotel Maintenance Technician to support our hotel operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with building systems, and helping ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff.

This role plays an important part in keeping the property running smoothly and looking its best throughout the year.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and operation of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, shared spaces, building systems, and exterior grounds. This position helps maintain safety, functionality, and overall appearance while supporting a high-quality guest experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and complete work orders accurately
• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Maintain exterior areas such as walkways, parking lots, landscaping, and entrances
• Perform snow removal and apply ice melt during winter conditions as needed
• Monitor and maintain pool systems, ensuring proper water chemistry and temperature compliance
• Obtain required pool certification within 60 days of hire
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Assist with emergency situations and participate in on-call coverage when required
• Keep clear and accurate records of completed maintenance tasks
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel maintenance or general building maintenance preferred
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently
• Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and guest service quality
