Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall care, upkeep, and mechanical operation of hotel buildings and surrounding grounds. This position directly supports guest satisfaction by performing preventive maintenance, addressing repairs promptly, and responding to operational needs as they arise.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain hotel facilities through organized preventive, corrective, and repair maintenance programs
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently to support guest comfort and satisfaction
  • Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas with proper documentation
  • Keep grounds, entrances, landscaping, parking areas, and walkways clean, well-maintained, and safe
  • Perform snow removal and apply ice melt as needed, documenting all actions
  • Monitor and maintain pool water chemistry and temperature in compliance with health department regulations
  • Obtain required pool certification within 60 days of employment
  • Help ensure the safety and security of the property at all times
  • Interact with guests in a courteous, professional, and hospitality-focused manner
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and loss prevention policies
  • Assist during emergencies and provide on-call support when needed
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Support a collaborative, professional, and positive team environment
  • Complete additional duties as reasonably assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in hotel maintenance or general maintenance preferred
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and professional
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
