About the Role

Western States Lodging and Management is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making by building financial models, developing reporting tools, and delivering actionable insights that drive operational and financial performance across our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain operational and financial analytics platforms
  • Facilitate annual budgeting processes and ongoing financial forecasting
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytics for operational and regional teams
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for executive leadership
  • Implement and manage reporting software and tools
  • Analyze monthly property and corporate financial statements to identify trends and opportunities
  • Create, document, and audit processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve efficiency and financial outcomes

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling
  • Experience with database structures and reporting tools (SQL, Power BI, or similar preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with high accuracy and minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and all levels of leadership
  • Adaptability to new systems, tools, and evolving business needs
