THE IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:

Here's what your day will include:

  • Providing skilled teaching, support, and evaluations supporting individualized habilitation plans
  • Promoting growth through consistent active treatment and community‑integration skill building
  • Assisting with crisis prevention, assessment, and intervention through CPI principles
  • Joining individuals in pool and gym activities, offering both encouragement and direct assistance
  • Applying your one year of experience to create meaningful, consistent, and empowering outcomes

In this Day Habilitation Aide II role, you move with purpose - and every day, someone else moves forward because of you. You work 1:1 with patients with a full-time schedule of at least 30 hours per week.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or a bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1 year of experience working with severe to profound developmental disabled individuals, preferably in a habilitation/vocational setting
  • Certified (or able to maintain certification) in CPR, First Aid, CPI, and safe physical intervention procedures
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of one year with a clean driving record
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to maintain and conduct functional life skill, behavioral, and therapeutic programs
  • Ability to collect data and maintain records as established within the day program
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during high‑stress or emotionally charged situations
  • Capable of hearing and responding to alarms, phones, and verbal communication at varying distances
  • Physical ability to lift 100+ pounds with assistance or equipment multiple times per shift
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and reach overhead repeatedly during shifts
  • Physical ability to walk or run alongside individuals for extended periods and support those with mobility impairments
