Home 2 Suites Layton is hiring a part-time Weekend Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel safe, functional, and guest-ready-while our Chief Maintenance Technician is off.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our Weekend Maintenance Technician, you'll support hotel maintenance operations by assisting with:

• Preventative maintenance and timely repairs property-wide
• Diagnosing and supporting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• Painting, flooring, patching, and general building repairs
• Equipment maintenance, installations, and minor construction work
• Maintaining safety, cleanliness, and a professional appearance across all areas
• Following OSHA safety standards and security protocols
• Communicating clearly with guests, vendors, leadership, and team members

You'll work a part-time weekend shift every Saturday and Sunday between 8 AM and 4 PM!

REQUIREMENTS:

• HVAC experience
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity)
• Ability to understand work orders, safety procedures, and communicate clearly
• Team-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• A customer-service mindset with attention to detail and safety

Preferred: Hotel or commercial maintenance experience
