WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • PGA Class A membership
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Desire to grow into a head golf professional
  • Clean, presentable appearance and the ability to treat members professionally and respectfully
  • Ability to collaborate with coworkers and department leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge about USGA handicaps
  • Schedule flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Love for helping others and making a positive impact
  • High school degree or equivalent

What Will Help You Stand Out:

  • Experience using related software, including Jonas POS, Trackman, V1 Golf, and Golf Genius
  • Experience working at a country club
  • Computer skills

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

Our Lead Assistant Golf Professional generally works Tuesday through Sunday with 8- to 10-hour shifts.

You'll help oversee and manage our private golf facility, making sure everything is in good condition and meets our members' high expectations. Over time, you'll take steps towards becoming a head professional! Responsibilities include:

  • Managing MGA events and tournament logistics, including scheduling, budgets, member communication, promotional materials, etc.
  • Coordinating with other assistant professionals to ensure they're effectively managing their assigned tournaments
  • Stepping in for your lead in case of absence
  • Training and scheduling retail shop staff
  • Playing golf with members to keep your skills competitive
  • Helping coordinate summer camps and junior programs
  • Helping with additional tasks, including inventory counts, demonstrations, supply purchasing, and cash tracking
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times
