YOUR DAY

As the Dining Service Director, you will take charge of our dining operations, ensuring residents receive delicious and nutritious meals in a welcoming environment. You will lead and mentor the kitchen team, focusing on training, performance management, and collaboration. Planning menus tailored to meet dietary needs and preferences will be a key part of your role, along with maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. You will also manage budgets, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with all health regulations. Your day will include meaningful interactions with residents, learning their culinary preferences, and adapting menus to meet their needs.

YOUR SCHEDULE AS A DINING SERVICE DIRECTOR

This full-time food service position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional weekends and events as needed to meet operational and resident needs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A DINING SERVICE DIRECTOR

• 5+ years in food service management, preferably in senior living or healthcare
• Experience successfully leading a kitchen team
• Expertise in cooking and meal planning for various dietary needs
• Strong budget management and effective communication skills
• Familiarity with local health regulations, food safety standards, and dietary guidelines for senior populations
• Ability to use kitchen management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Compassion, adaptability, and a team-focused mindset
