As our Recreation Director, you'll be an integral part of our vibrant atmosphere. You'll typically work Monday-Friday, 9 am - 6 pm, including holidays. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RECREATION DIRECTOR

As a new Recreation Director, you are responsible for organizing and leading daily activities throughout the community that promote physical, social, and cognitive stimulation for our elderly residents. You develop and produce a monthly calendar of recreational, social, cultural, and religious activities for our senior and retirement community. Additionally, you create a periodic community newsletter that highlights special events and interest stories. You plan, set up, and supervise scheduled events to ensure they run smoothly.

You also develop, implement and monitor a transportation program that caters to both private and group transportation needs. A natural leader, you supervise staff in compliance and support them in running activities. WHAT IS REQUIRED?

  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement a varied program of social recreation, cultural, and religious activities for a large population of elderly
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing with residents, families, and the general public
  • Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills
  • A heart for serving the elderly
