WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?

As the Senior Director of Adult Services, you're the driving force behind innovative programming and operational excellence. Your day flows between high-level strategy meetings with the executive leadership team and hands-on coaching sessions with your adult services staff. You manage budgets with precision, guide the development of new services and partnerships, and serve as a key liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders. Whether responding to an urgent situation or leading a quality assurance audit, your calm leadership and sharp insight keep everything running smoothly.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM A SENIOR DIRECTOR OF ADULT SERVICES?

We're looking for someone who can meet the following qualifications:

  • A master's degree or higher in human services, health care, education, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • 10+ years of leadership experience serving adults with developmental disabilities with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • CPR, First Aid, & MAP certifications or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire and maintained during employment
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to the administrative and financial management of non-profit organizations
  • Knowledge of the municipal and state purchasing service system (RFRs, audit preparation, UFRs, billing, and contracting)
  • Strong knowledge of licensing regulations, including MA DDS, CARF, and CMS regulations
  • Proficiency in organizational leadership, management, and communications
  • Proficiency in budget preparation, financial management, and cost control strategies
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic goals and objectives
  • Ability to coach staff, develop high-performing teams, and develop and implement company strategies
  • Ability to lead, promote best practices, manage crises, and maintain executive presence
