SPORTS CENTER MERCHANDISE MANAGER: THE BASICS

Schedule: This full-time position necessitates flexibility as weekend availability is a must.

YOUR DAY AS A SPORTS CENTER MERCHANDISE MANAGER

As a Sports Center Merchandise Manager, you'll manage staff schedules and ensure everything runs like a well-oiled machine, from member programs to daily activities. As you walk through our facility, you'll keep an eye on cleanliness and safety, creating an inviting atmosphere. Throughout your day, you'll engage with our members, providing top-tier service, answering questions, and gathering feedback to keep everyone smiling. You'll also dive into the dynamic world of retail, managing inventory, selecting fresh merchandise that reflects our brand, and designing eye-catching displays that will draw customers in. Using your keen analytical skills, you'll review sales data to make informed decisions, and you won't be alone-you'll lead a team of enthusiastic staffers by training them on product knowledge and retail techniques!


REQUIREMENTS FOR A SPORTS CENTER MERCHANDISE MANAGER

  • Experience in facility management, retail, or similar field (sports/recreation preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with sports equipment and fitness merchandise
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facility management or POS software

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Passion for sports, fitness, and healthy lifestyles
  • Availability for weekend work
  • Background in sports and merchandise
