The Director of Student Recruitment & Admissions plays a critical role in advancing Crystal Springs' mission by ensuring a strategic, data-driven, and student-centered admissions and recruitment process. This role is responsible for evaluating student referrals, coordinating intake and transition processes, conducting outreach, and leading marketing efforts to promote Crystal Springs' programs. The Director actively engages with key referral sources, educational institutions, and community organizations to build partnerships that drive student enrollment. This position requires strong leadership, marketing and recruitment expertise, relationship-building skills, and a commitment to inclusive practices in admissions and student placement.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, education, special education, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years in admissions, student recruitment, special education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
  • Knowledge in referral screening, enrollment management, and admissions processes.
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations, including IEPs and placement processes.
  • Strong networking, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with families, agencies, and school districts.
  • Ability to develop strategic recruitment campaigns and build partnerships with referral sources.
  • Ability to analyze admissions trends and adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Strong knowledge of MA DCF, EEC, DESE regulations and other states as applicable.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment


DUTIES AND RESPNSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, manage, & facilitate the full-cycle student recruitment, referral, and admissions process for the children's division.
  • Lead and facilitate the admissions team meetings while establishing/ maintaining accountability for all student admissions.
  • Screen and evaluate student referrals to assess appropriateness for admission. Maintains a qualified pipeline of referrals and accurate records of inquiries/admissions status in a database.
  • Facilitates timely team reviews of referral materials, ensuring input from relevant departments.
  • Provides in-depth tours to families, guardians, and referral agencies.
  • Oversee pre and post admission meetings, working with interdisciplinary teams to support smooth student transitions.
  • Develops and maintains admissions census and activity reports for leadership.
  • Develop and implement strategic student recruitment initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with referral sources, including school districts, state agencies, advocates, and parent organizations.
  • Represents Crystal Springs at conferences, resource fairs, and community networking events.
  • Travels to meet with referral sources, conduct interviews, and foster partnerships.
  • Creates and distributes marketing materials to promote Crystal Springs' programs.
  • Works closely with educational, clinical, and residential teams to ensure seamless student onboarding.
  • Ensures compliance with state licensing, special education regulations, and internal policies.
  • Functions as an ambassador and liaison for Crystal Springs.
  • Contributes to organization success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.
