A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MECHATRONICS APPRENTICE

In this apprenticeship at Buhler, you will engage in hands-on learning and professional development within our state-of-the-art facility. Under the mentorship of experienced technicians, you will:

  • Install, inspect, start up, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment.
  • Build, test, modify, and maintain industrial control systems.
  • Read technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Install, test, modify, and maintain electrical assemblies.
  • Assemble, disassemble, secure, and transport machinery and systems.
  • Utilize manual and metalworking machinery.
  • Install and configure programs for hardware and software components.
  • Wire motors and drives.

THE ESSENTIALS TO GET STARTED IN THIS APPRENTICESHIP

  • 18+ years of age before the start date in August
  • High school diploma or equivalent by the start of the program
  • Eligibility to work in the US
  • Valid driver's license
  • Technical college placement test scores within an acceptable range
