DELVE DEEPER INTO THIS ROLE

As an Employment - Vocational Specialist, you meet with participants, conducting comprehensive assessments to identify their strengths and career interests. As you interact with each individual, you provide personalized guidance and support, helping them develop clear action plans for their career journey. Throughout the day, you collaborate with colleagues, make referrals to support services, and connect participants with job training and educational opportunities. Your work directly contributes to the success and empowerment of those you serve, making each day fulfilling and rewarding!

Wondering if you have what it takes to become our Employment - Vocational Specialist? Check out our requirements below!

  • Bachelor's degree in adult education, vocational rehabilitation, life skills coaching, human services, or a related field and/or 2 years of case management, vocational assessment, or adult career advising experience
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office software and the ability to enter data into a specialized database
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail

Being bilingual is a plus! Having experience working with public assistance recipients, homeless, formally incarcerated, individuals with disabilities, or those affected by the challenges associated with poverty is preferred but not required!
