WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?
As an Employment Specialist with our nonprofit, your primary focus is on providing tailored support to individuals seeking job opportunities. You conduct thorough intakes to understand their unique needs, strengths, interests, and capabilities. Working closely with them, you develop personalized service plans known as Family Contract Amendments (FCAs). Through regular meetings and diligent documentation, you ensure they stay on track toward their employment goals.
Building strong partnerships with external providers, you facilitate access to essential services and supports. It's crucial to maintain exceptional record-keeping, meticulously documenting all interactions and communications within our system, FedcapCARES. Additionally, you manage requests for support services such as childcare and transportation, leveraging data to inform your daily tasks and responsibilities.
In cases of missed appointments, you proactively reach out to reschedule and establish effective communication channels with participants' medical and behavioral health providers to ensure holistic support. In all that you do, you are always sure to:
