QUALIFICATIONS

Our ideal Accountant has 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting position, but it's not required. A degree in accounting or a business college education would be preferred. Familiarity with fixed assets systems would also be a plus. Here are the minimum requirements:

• 2+ years of experience using a computer with an intermediate knowledge of Excel
• Experience with bookkeeping and accounting procedures
• Accurate data entry skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to use office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners
• Communication skills, team spirit, and a positive, professional attitude

WHAT TO EXPECT AS AN ACCOUNTANT

In this accounting position, you tackle a variety of essential financial matters to support the long-term success of our parent organization and subsidiaries. You manage our general ledger by maintaining fixed asset records and reconciling prepaid expense schedules. If you notice any oddities pop up, you promptly investigate them. As needed, you also process accounts payable invoices and monthly credit card statements to ensure our financial records comply with all standards and practices.
