QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business administration, or related field from an accredited institution preferred
• 2+ years of experience in case management, administration, social services, or related field OR equivalent education and training
• Mental Health First Aid certification or the ability to become certified within the first six months of employment
• Ability to navigate complex systems and coordinate effectively with external partners

Spanish speaking skills are a plus.

Work schedule: This full-time position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a difference during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

WHAT TO EXPECT AS A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT NAVIGATOR

As a Workforce Development Navigator, you serve as the main point of contact for participants referred by the District of Columbia's Department of Human Services. You dive into helping individuals develop and update their MAPs for career and personal growth. You harness evidence-informed practices, navigate complex systems, and coordinate seamlessly with DHS and other partners to provide holistic support. Beyond traditional case management, you also advocate, motivator, and ally, empowering participants to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. From coaching sessions to resource navigation, each interaction brings you closer to creating lasting change in the lives of those you serve.
