WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?

In your capacity as a Speech Pathology Specialist, your daily responsibilities will be both dynamic and rewarding. You will conduct individual and group therapy sessions, adhering to the specific needs outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEP). Beyond direct therapy, your role will encompass formal standardized evaluations, observational assessments, and the training of staff in wraparound strategies. Your influence will extend to residential units, where you will conduct observations, skill assessments, and mentor direct care staff. Attend and actively contribute to critical meetings such as CSE and residential planning, and play an integral part in developing treatment plans with precise goals for each individual. Your impact will resonate far beyond the classroom, as you support family skill development for the effective carryover of therapeutic strategies throughout the day.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM SPEECH PATHOLOGY SPECIALIST?

This is a full-time position aligned with the school calendar, including extended school years. As a Speech Pathology Specialist, you will be an integral part of our dynamic interdisciplinary team, providing crucial support to our students.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Speech Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Hearing Association
  • Current state Speech/Language Pathologist license
  • 3+ years of experience working with young children as a speech/language pathologist (preferred)
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
