WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE AS A CAREGIVER

As a Direct Support Professional, you play a pivotal role in diverse areas such as task analysis, life planning, job coaching, report writing, and behavioral interventions across our New Hampshire (NH) and New York (NY) programs. Your responsibilities include fostering independence, developing social skills, and coordinating schedules to enhance community access and awareness. You observe behavior, skill levels, and interests, providing objective information and maintaining quality control standards. Your duties also involve transportation, positive role modeling, and training in skills like self-care and money management. Demonstrating judgment for client safety is essential, and participation in training opportunities to expand your knowledge is encouraged, with a requirement of twenty hours per year.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM A CAREGIVER?

We're looking for someone who can work (insert schedule) while meeting the following qualifications:

  • High School education or GED
  • 2+ years of work experience preferred
  • Ability to become medication certified (AMAP)
  • Flexible schedule: including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver's license

We also need an aide who is committed to providing high-quality services to individuals with disabilities in community and residential settings.
