WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
As a new Career Counselor, you work closely with individuals receiving TANF benefits and help them overcome obstacles preventing them from finding gainful employment. Your responsibilities involve providing vocational guidance, supporting participants in their job search process, and maintaining communication with external providers and partners.
Conducting comprehensive intakes, you help identify areas where participants excel and where they could improve. You help participants set short- and long-term goals, connect with valuable resources, and document progress. When appropriate, you request additional support in areas such as childcare or transportation.
