WHAT VITAL ASSISTANCE DO YOU PROVIDE?
Building trust and rapport with program participants is essential in effectively engaging them in our services. An integral part of this role is cultivating enduring relationships with employers and non-profits, resulting in ongoing volunteer and employment opportunities for participants. You will apply your expertise to match participants with Work Experience Program (WEP) assignments and employment opportunities that align with their vocational evaluation, TANF work requirements, and accommodations. Your goal will be to help participants secure suitable jobs consistent with their interests and skills, with a minimum requirement of 30 hours per week.
Your role will also include conducting follow-up calls and visits to nonprofit partners to address questions, mediate concerns, and maintain satisfaction. Similarly, you will engage with employers to ensure their contentment with hires from Families Forward, discuss new vacancies, and address any concerns that may arise. Your expertise will be crucial in creating recruitment strategies for hiring events, retention events, and on-site employer panels. Collaborating with the Workforce Readiness & Innovations team and others, you will host targeted hiring events that align participants' skills and backgrounds with employers seeking their specific talents. As part of your responsibilities, you will track working participants to ensure they meet the required hours through employment and engagement in other activities.
