DAY-TO-DAY
This full-time vocational rehabilitation position at our human services nonprofit works during the day.
As a Career Placement Specialist, your natural warmth and engaging personality are put to good use as you build trust and rapport with participants. You're a master at cultivating long-lasting relationships with employers and non-profits in the community, ensuring that our participants have access to ongoing volunteer and employment opportunities. You're always on the lookout for jobs that align with the skills and interests of our participants, and that require at least thirty hours per week. You work closely with nonprofit partners and employers, providing excellent follow-up, answering questions, and resolving concerns to ensure everyone is satisfied with their volunteers or new hires.
With each participant's vocational evaluation, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) work requirements, and needed accommodations in mind, you expertly match them with the perfect Work Experience Program (WEP) assignments and employment opportunities. Using our Fedcap CARES program, you're able to analyze data and plan daily and weekly tasks that ensure everyone is making progress toward their goals.
As an expert in vocational rehabilitation, you lead the way in planning exciting hiring events, retention events, and on-site employer panels. You're the go-to person for facilitating Field Training and On-the-Job training (OJT) that leads to real job opportunities. And, you keep careful records, tracking working participants in their jobs and validating retention benchmarks at thirty, ninety, and one hundred and eighty days.
