THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A JOB DEVELOPER

As a Job Developer at Fedcap, your days will be filled with purpose and impact. Imagine conducting cold calls to identify job leads, making weekly visits to participants transitioning from Rikers Island, and securing transitional and permanent placements. You'll actively build relationships with employers, ensuring they understand the program methodologies and are open to hiring justice-involved participants. Your role includes designing recruitment strategies, organizing job fairs, and tracking participant retention. REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, management, human relations, or a related field OR 4 years of experience working in workforce development
  • Experience in outside sales or workforce development with a proven placement track record
  • Ability to establish relationships with employers in the New York City area
  • Ability to receive entrance clearance to Rikers Island
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail

Experience working with public assistance recipients, the homeless, the formerly incarcerated, or those affected by the challenges associated with poverty is a plus. Being bilingual in both English and Spanish is preferred!
