DO YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Extensive experience with government benefits and enrollment processes
  • Strong understanding of privacy and confidentiality laws and practices, especially as they interface with technology

Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of stakeholders from government, education, and nonprofit sectors
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to operate independently and in close coordination with teams and strategic partners
  • Keen attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy and quality of work

Familiarity with benefits technology is a plus. Team spirit and a sense of humor are appreciated!


WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Benefits Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in guiding individuals through the application process for different benefits programs. You will answer questions, make sure documentation is complete, and advocate for clients' rights in healthcare, social assistance, food assistance, tax assistance, and veterans' benefits. Demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity, you'll connect clients with the right services.

You'll conduct follow-ups to provide ongoing guidance. Upholding ethical standards, you will maintain meticulous records, respecting confidentiality. You'll track outcomes and progress and help our clients overcome challenges.
