DAY-TO-DAY
This full-time speech therapy rehabilitation position works during the day.
As a Youth Speech Pathologist in human services, you're responsible for evaluating communication skills, including receptive language, expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, oral motor skills, and hearing. You develop comprehensive service plans according to program policies and regulations, such as school or outpatient programs. As outlined by the treatment plans, you provide speech therapy geared toward treating communication disorders. You instruct and counsel students, clients, or their families regarding the specific nature of their communication impairments and how to best cope in various speaking situations.
In addition, you attend individual education plan (IEP) meetings, staffing, case conferences, and department meetings. You maintain appropriate records, such as progress notes, reports, evaluations, plans, case conference reports, and discharge summaries. As needed, you receive and track insurance authorizations as well as complete departmental program evaluations in accordance with policies and procedures. You also function as a case manager to help with coordinating and obtaining other services as well as supervise our clinical fellowship staff.
