A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SECURITY OFFICER
As a Security Officer for our nonprofit, you can expect to work day shifts and be on your feet for most of the day while protecting our school property. Keeping an eye out for any signs of crime or disorder, you investigate any disturbances, report any suspicious incidents, and apprehend criminals or evict violators as necessary. You also track our alarm systems and video cameras to ensure all areas are secure as well as control access to our building entrances and vehicle gates. In the event of an emergency, you may need to perform first aid or CPR. We can count on you to follow all applicable laws and regulations. Our team will provide you with the necessary training to ensure that you're prepared for any situation that may arise.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A SECURITY OFFICER?
To be successful as an entry-level Security Officer with our nonprofit, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
A successful candidate must also be able to apprehend criminals and evict violators as needed. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Are you highly organized and detail-oriented? Can you juggle multiple tasks while demonstrating good time management? Do you work well both independently and as part of a team?
