A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAIL SPECIALIST

You play a crucial role in keeping our human services nonprofit up and running as a Mail Specialist! Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the mail is sorted, processed, and delivered promptly. As you sort mail, you meticulously label accountable mail from USPS, UPS, and FedEx to their respective mailers. You're a master of detail and skillfully meter letter flats and parcels for outgoing shipments.

When it comes to delivering mail, you're a pro mail handler! You visit designated floors using the elevator or stairs and even make trips to the Post Office if needed. With your super strength, you can lift packages weighing up to 75 pounds! Your communication skills are top-notch, and you enjoy interacting with others as you walk around delivering mail. You know your job as a mail processor has the potential to make a difference in the lives of those that live in your community. Your love for being a messenger is evident, and you're always excited about the new experiences that each day brings!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MAIL SPECIALIST

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

We would love for this mail handler position to have previous mailroom or office experience. We are looking for a messenger who is eager to learn more about mail metering and is comfortable being trained on UPS shipping stations and mail meters Do you meet these requirements? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MAIL SPECIALIST

This full-time mail processor position with our human services nonprofit typically works regular business hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
