YOUR LIFE AS A HUMAN SERVICES - DSP
This full-time position with our human services nonprofit works during the day.
As a Human Services - DSP with our nonprofit, you provide direct supervision to individuals with disabilities in accordance with their treatment plans. You assist individuals with a variety of everyday tasks, including developing appropriate work attitudes and skills to gain employment opportunities. In collaboration with our program coordinators, you teach social and communication skills, as well as positive behavioral changes. With a focus on helping individuals increase their independence, you help them develop appropriate social skills, establish social relationships, and participate in community-based activities or job tasks. In addition, you observe each individual's behavior, skill levels, and areas of interest to provide objective information and formulate data-based recommendations.
You communicate all pertinent information to other members of your team to ensure individuals receive the maximum benefit from the services our nonprofit offers. Regarding the safety of our clients, you actively practice good judgment and provide the necessary support needed for each individual. You always participate in available training opportunities geared toward expanding your knowledge of treatment methods. Your hard work makes a direct positive impact on the lives of our clients with disabilities, and it brings you great satisfaction to know your role as a DSP contributes to our company in a big way!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
