A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAREER DEVELOPMENT COACH

As a Career Development Coach at our human services nonprofit, you track the success of our participants in their careers. You provide individual and group career coaching sessions around successful job performance, career advancement pathways in specific sectors, connecting career progression with education, and other topics related to career advancement. Ensuring our participants get all of the support they need to achieve long-term career goals, you provide referrals for childcare, health or mental health services, internal or external training, and other services as needed. You facilitate professional development and life skills workshops that help our participants complete a professional development portfolio.

Conducting pre- and post-program evaluations, you gather feedback from our program participants regarding their education and placement experiences, challenges, and successes. You then provide that feedback to the career and education services team to help inform the content and structure of our program services. You love working with our participants and helping them find success in their careers!
