A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EMPLOYMENT RETENTION SPECIALIST
As an Employment Retention Specialist in our human services nonprofit, you provide support and counseling for our HERO Dads participants in their new jobs. This includes assisting with issues pertaining to work-related and transitional benefits as well as staying in contact with participants to identify personal or social problems and make referrals for resolutions. You also maintain contact with employers in the community to verify employment, resolve issues, and ensure overall satisfaction with our program.
Coordinating with job developers, you keep up-to-date job retention information with employers as well as record and monitor job placement and employment retention data in Salesforce and other case management systems. You offer employment counseling or referrals to support services and educational programs when needed.
