DAY-TO-DAY AS AN EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT COORDINATOR
This full-time job coach role with our human services nonprofit works typical business hours.
As an Employment Placement Coordinator, your day is jam-packed with opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around you. You get to collaborate with a team of expert professionals and work towards a common goal of developing essential life skills, work readiness, and job retention training curriculum. With your creativity and enthusiasm, you curate engaging and informative class materials, making each session an exciting learning experience in job placement!
You also get to facilitate life skills and work readiness groups and organize independent job search activities, hiring fairs, and so much more! Your employment expertise will come in handy as you give assignments to participants and track their performance and progress to ensure they achieve their desired goals. You work closely with job developers and case managers to achieve monthly job placement targets, placing customers in quality, long-term, unsubsidized jobs. Designing and creating recruitment strategies, including hiring fairs, on-site employer visits, and info sessions, is another exciting part of your job as a job coach! You review and develop detailed individual responsibility plans for your customers, and you establish trusted working relationships with them, monitoring their engagement and progress throughout their first year of employment.
You document activities, participation, compliance, and employment progress in Electronic Case Management (ECM) systems, and assist in compiling data for reports. You attend all required training and certifications because you know that learning is an ongoing process.
