WHAT DOES AN APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN DO?

As an Appliance Technician, you're a master of all things HVAC! You perform installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial and commercial HVAC equipment, including electric air handling units, exhaust fans, make-up air units, and low voltage controls. You also troubleshoot and repair a variety of appliances.

You don't just fix things when they break down - you also perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment in top working condition. You regularly test and repair systems and equipment using meters, schematics, drawings, and manuals.

When systems do malfunction, you take them apart, test components, and replace or adjust parts. Safety is always a top priority, and you attend daily safety toolbox meetings and perform job safety evaluations for each job. If safety and sanitation standards are not being met, you're quick to notify the supervisor. Dedicated to keeping our HVAC systems and appliances in working order, you get great satisfaction from a hard day's work!
