WHAT DOES A COOK - KITCHEN ATTENDANT DO?

As a Cook - Kitchen Attendant, you ensure that our assisted living residents have access to nutritious meals throughout the day. After reviewing the needs of the day with the supervisor on duty, you get to work cooking and creating dishes that all residents can enjoy. You've always got a smile on your face - you love getting creative and cooking!

When not actively engaged in food preparation, you help keep the kitchen area clean, sanitized, organized, and fully stocked. Knowing that your cooking is lifting the hearts and filling the bellies of our assisted living residents makes your day, which is why you love this job!


WOULD YOU BE A GREAT COOK - KITCHEN ATTENDANT?

You might be a good fit for this role if you meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least six (6) months of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
  • The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
  • This contract requires employees to have the following immunizations: TB. The successful applicant must be able to provide immunization records for this and/or be willing to take the vaccination if offered the job.
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Description of environment: This is located in an assisted living setting

Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

Travel: None

As part of the onboarding process for this contract, you will be required to provide proof that you are free of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
