DAY-TO-DAY AS AN EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM SPECIALIST
This full-time job placement role can expect to work regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with the occasional night or weekend required to accommodate program needs.
As an Employment Program Specialist with our awesome human services nonprofit, you take advantage of a range of cool responsibilities that will challenge you in the best way possible! You oversee participant recruitment, assessment, attendance, and follow-up - which means you to meet and work with some amazing individuals who are eager to learn and grow! You also collaborate with other organizations on referrals and enrollment, which means you get to build new relationships and make some great connections!
Using your excellent organizational skills you develop monthly quantitative and qualitative reports on program performance. You analyze attendance, delivery of employability workshops or education classes, and internship activities as another opportunity to showcase your awesome analytical talents! And speaking of showcasing your skills, you implement program curricula according to funder standards, process monthly billing paperwork according to funder requirements, and even analyze service delivery strategies and develop continuous improvement plans - all while being the ultimate rockstar Program Specialist on our job placement program's team!
You also manage contract implementation and monitoring performance targets, draft written products for a variety of presentations, and conduct enrollment sessions, individualized career exploration assessments, work readiness, and self-advocacy groups - all while having a blast doing it! You communicate with referring agency counselors on a regular basis and conduct case conferences, all while reporting to your supervisor and funder regarding program attendance, program participation, and program activities. Plus, you maintain participant files and prepare and submit reports according to the standards and requirements of the referring agency (ACCES-VR) like a true pro! As a representative of our awesome organization at partner and funders (ACCES-VR) meetings, you show off your amazing communication skills and enthusiasm for making a positive impact in the community through your work on our employment program team! QUALIFICATION FOR AN EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM SPECIALIST
A master's degree is preferred but we will take all skills into consideration. Experience working in a nonprofit or human services setting is a huge plus. In this Employment Program Specialist role, you are expected to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. You should also have a passion for helping others and a commitment to social justice and the nonprofit sector.
