A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COOK

As a Cook, you take care of preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of foods for students in a K-12 school setting. As soon as you arrive for your shift, you review the needs of the day with the supervisor on duty. You cook meals according to nutritional services and health department standards. There's always plenty to do, and you're glad to keep busy.

You love helping out wherever there's a need. Whether helping to train food service personnel, stocking food serving lines, or rotating produce and dairy products, you've got a smile on your face. Cleanliness is a top priority, and our kitchen is always kept clean and sanitized with you on the job. You love using your culinary skills to create dishes that students in the schools will enjoy, which is why you're perfect for this food service position!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COOK

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 year of directly related food preparation or cooking experience
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy
