WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time culinary position typically works Monday - Friday but may need to be available for nights and weekends as needed for sporting events, catering, and banquets.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHOOL COOK

As a School Cook, you ensure students receive top-quality meals and food service during the school day. You also help the culinary team with cooking for banquets or sporting events as needed. A true team player, you can be counted on to get the job done, whether it's cooking during the day or helping out during evening and weekend shifts.

When you aren't handling food service tasks, you help clean and tidy up our kitchen by wiping down surfaces and appliances as well as ensuring our supplies are properly stored. You love having a job where you get to make a difference by feeding young minds!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SCHOOL COOK

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• One year of directly related food preparation or cooking experience
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy
