DAY-TO-DAY
This full-time social services position in human services works during the day.
As a Case Manager - TANF Specialist with our nonprofit, you're responsible for coordinating services that help our clients make meaningful progress toward preparing for and obtaining employment. You conduct outreach to referred clients, engage current clients in providing activities, and re-engage clients who start to participate but disengage for various reasons. Using assessments administered by the Department of Human Services, you develop and amend each client's detailed individual responsibility plans (DIRPs) to help them overcome barriers to program engagement and participation.
Also, you coordinate multiple activities as outlined in each client's DIRP. You monitor participant engagement through their first year in the program and continuously seek out appropriate activities, resources, and support services to help them succeed. Stressing urgency and ownership, you guide clients through a learn-by-doing process during service planning and delivery. You also capture and record attendance as well as help participants obtain job promotions and salary increases.
Using your excellent organizational skills, you facilitate job readiness training, rapid job searching, job retention services, and education services. You document all activities, participation, compliance, and employment progress in our electronic case management (ECM) systems. To continuously improve at your job, you attend regional and online conferences as well as stay up to date with training and certifications.
