DAY-TO-DAY

This full-time social work position in human services works during the day.

As a Community Resources Case Manager with our nonprofit, you're responsible for facilitating peer groups and maintaining community partnerships for resources that benefit our participants in the Family Re-Housing Stabilization Program (FRSP). You establish and maintain community partnerships to provide participants with access to resources that support their needs. These resources include assistance with employment, education, finance, health and well-being, child development, housing, and other areas. Using a two-generational approach, you help families access support services that benefit both parents and children. Additionally, you assist participants in obtaining economic assets such as public benefits, tax credits, and financial aid.

In addition, you follow up on application statuses and provide additional support to participants as needed. You create life skills and peer group curriculum based on training needs as well as plan needed materials for each class, including textbooks, handouts, workbook information, and other sources. For more support, you screen participants for emergency payments and help them budget to maximize funds currently and in the future. You enter payment requests into our electronic case management (ECM) system after verifying that qualifications and supporting documentation align with funder requirements.

Partnering with the Department of Human Services, you ensure our participants have the contacts for additional housing and financial coaching resources that they may need. You verify and report participant milestone achievements using structured reports and success stories. To continuously improve at your job, you stay up to date on all relevant training and certifications. Your dedication to helping others is apparent through your hard work, and you take great pride in knowing you're good at what you do!
