YOUR DAY AS A FOOD SERVICE WORKER

As a Food Service Worker, you help with cleaning, food prep, maintenance, stocking, and serving in our school kitchens. With attention to detail, you keep things well-stocked, whether in the storeroom, dining room, or serving area.

Throughout your shift, you can be found setting up tables, removing trash, sweeping floors, or cleaning the dining and storage areas. Sometimes you help with large cleaning projects. You love working with such a fun team! Having a part-time job and earning a little extra money while doing so is the icing on the cake!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Minimum:

• Some knowledge of food service or food preparation of suitability for this type of work.
• Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
• Ability to obtain Alaska food worker's card within 30 days of hire

Preferred:

• 1+ years of work experience or documented vocational training sufficient to demonstrate a knowledge of cleaning equipment, food preparation, and general cleaning processes or a suitability for this type of work
