MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS A LEAD HVAC TECHNICIAN
As a Lead HVAC Technician, you're a true problem solver with the skills to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of equipment at our camps, from industrial HVAC systems to complex plumbing setups. You tackle routine tasks with ease, such as calibrating pneumatic thermostats and controllers, changing compressor condenser coils and filters, troubleshooting airflow problems, and monitoring glycol pressures and inhibitor levels.
Additionally, you take on periodic inspections of air conditioning coils to ensure proper airflow and heat rejection, augment filter changes as needed, and meticulously inspect coil conditions for unwanted organic debris. Safety always comes first, which is why you're vigilant in ensuring compliance with DOT Cylinder Maintenance, Retest, and Certification requirements for hydrostatic test dates of high-pressure cylinders.
To top it off, you use the Annual Preventative Air Conditioning Maintenance checklists provided, and you're always ready to jump in to assist with camp maintenance duties as needed. You understand that client needs come first, and you're always willing to go the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction. With your energetic attitude and top-notch skills, you're an indispensable member of the camp team!
REQUIREMENTS FOR A LEAD HVAC TECHNICIAN

This position normally requires approximately 25 - 50% travel out of Anchorage to remote sites, however, depending on client needs, technicians could be required to travel more often. May be required to travel within hours of client request to any site throughout the state of Alaska. Must be willing to fly on small aircraft to remote sites although the majority are accessed via road system.
CANDIDATES RESIDING OUTSIDE ANCHORAGE:
Candidates in Alaska and the lower 48 for any contract: For pre-employment testing, Anchorage is considered the point of hire (with the exception of drug testing, which is conducted near the candidate's place of residence). The employee is responsible for travel expenses and needed accommodations related to pre−employment tasks that need to be completed in Anchorage, AK. This includes safety training requirements, required pre−employment testing or training such as physical, DOT physical/medical card, fit for duty, audiogram, or other testing required by contract (NSTC, APICC training, security licensing requirements, etc.).
Candidates in Alaska for Alyeska Contract: pre-employment testing is scheduled near the candidate's area of residence within the state. The only exception is when the candidate lives in a region without the necessary service providers to complete all requirements.
Flights to remote locations: All employees are responsible for expenses related to reporting to point of hire (Anchorage) for scheduled trips paid for by the company for remote locations.
