WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN ON-CALL JANITOR - CUSTODIAN

This janitorial position works on-call hours at different locations within the school district.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ON-CALL JANITOR - CUSTODIAN

As an On-Call Janitor - Custodian, you keep our facilities looking good. When you receive a call to come in, you head over to the assigned school ready to get to work cleaning. You enjoy "getting in the zone" and working efficiently but are also friendly and service-oriented. Whether it's dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, or doing other janitorial work, you love the satisfaction of checking off tasks.

You remove the trash and transport it to the appropriate areas. As needed, you help out with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs. At the end of each custodial shift, you take a good look at the school and then head home, proud of how great the place looks!

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• A valid driver's license with a 3-year driving record that is acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
