A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEAD JANITOR - HEAD CUSTODIAN

As a Lead Janitor - Head Custodian, you lead our custodial team in providing janitorial cleaning services. Each day, you arrive ready to work with all the necessary supplies and equipment. Throughout your shift, you can be found cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, or restocking. Additionally, you spend time expediting products, supplies, and equipment from camp to camp. You and your team take care of restrooms, kitchen areas, break rooms, and common public areas. You also remove trash and transport it to the appropriate disposal areas.

In addition to cleaning, you enthusiastically guide, direct, and train the custodial staff. A natural leader, you promote our core values through your words and actions. You regularly conduct inspections to ensure we're providing the highest quality of services. Safety is a top priority, and you help to conduct safety meetings. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEAD JANITOR - HEAD CUSTODIAN

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience that evidences a working knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes
• 1+ years of experience in commercial housekeeping
• 1+ years of supervisory experience in a directly related field
• Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to a background check and UA drug test.
• Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers, and clients
• Ability to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision
• Ability to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation
• Ability to live in dormitory-style settings and meet the cleanliness requirements of the remote camp
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Weather: Indoor/Outdoor. Frequently exposed to arctic conditions.

Noise level: Moderate to loud

Description of environment: This is a remote camp setting. Employees must constantly be able to stand, walk, climb, push, pull use hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Employees are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Travel: Must be able to travel by plane or bus to remote camps.

Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
