A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD SERVICE WORKER / CLEANING ATTENDANT
As a Food Service Worker / Cleaning Attendant, you are vital to our mission of providing the best possible care to our assisted living residents. Closely following food-handling procedures, you safely and efficiently prepare food. You're a true team player who willingly assists cooks and other kitchen staff members with tasks as needed. You wear many hats as you perform a variety of duties, including cleaning, preparing food, stocking inventory, and serving food in our dining area. You enthusiastically assist our customers with product requests and general inquiries.
With attention to detail, you keep our kitchen clean and organized. You can be found washing dishes, cleaning floors, removing garbage, and wiping down surfaces throughout your shift. Whether cleaning, stocking, or serving others, you love that you get to keep busy with so many different tasks - it makes the time fly by!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FOOD SERVICE WORKER / CLEANING ATTENDANT
This position at our Pioneer Home – Fairbanks contract is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between NMS and Laborers' Local 942 and membership in the union, including the deduction of dues, is a required term of employment.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

As part of the onboarding process for this contract, you will be required to provide proof that you are free of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
