A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COOK
As a Cook, you take care of preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of foods for our assisted living residents. As soon as you arrive for your shift, you review the needs of the day with the supervisor on duty. You then complete production sheets and verify supply needs and availability. You prepare foods according to nutritional services and health department standards.
You assist with the training of our food service team. A natural leader, you're available to mentor and offer support. Highly organized, you arrange for food service helpers to complete smaller item preparation. You carefully oversee the food serving lines and coffee bars to make sure they're properly stocked, set up, and cleaned. Cleanliness is a top priority, and our kitchen is always kept clean and sanitized with you on the job. You love using your culinary skills to create meals that our assisted living residents will fully enjoy!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COOK
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between NMS and Laborers' Local 942 and membership in the union, including the deduction of union dues, is a required term of employment.

As part of the onboarding process for this contract, you will be required to provide proof that you are free of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
