A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FLOOR CARE TECHNICIAN

As a Floor Care Technician, you love to use your commercial cleaning skills to help our hospital facilities look their best! A dependable and self-motivated employee, you show up for each shift with a positive attitude. You provide a wide variety of projects needed to maintain the cleanliness of our facilities.

Safety-oriented and responsible, you carefully strip, wax, and buff floors. You can also be found removing trash, stocking, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, or vacuuming offices, public areas, hallways, lobbies, closets, copy rooms, or other work areas as assigned. You thrive in this independent environment and take great pride in the professional quality of your commercial cleaning work!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FLOOR CARE TECHNICIAN

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment and involvement in or intermediate knowledge of corporate safety programs
  • Must be able to use a variety of floor care equipment, extractors, riding extractors, floor scrubbers, auto scrubbers, etc.
  • The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • This contract requires all employees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Individuals that are offered positions and are prevented from being vaccinated due to medical or religious reasons will work closely with Human Resources to evaluate their specific situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certain positions may require a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.
  • COVID-19 vaccine requirement: The company complies with all applicable federal, state, local, and contract regulations and requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with any or all of the following that may be in effect: COVID-19 vaccination and/or weekly testing requirements, contract requirements, OSHA's Emergency Temporary Standard, CMS rule, and Executive Order on Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. Should any of these requirements or regulations be in effect at the time of hire, you will be required to provide your COVID-19 vaccine status, and acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccine or submit to weekly testing, depending on the regulation and/or policy applicable to your work location.
