A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

As a Laundry Attendant, you keep our assisted living residents well-supplied with clean linens. Each day, you come into work eager to put your housekeeping skills to good use. You sort all dirty linen as it comes to you. Next, you load the machines, select the appropriate cycles, do the folding, and then...repeat! Your duties are easy and repetitive, and you love getting into a groove. If any of our equipment is in need of maintenance, you inform the appropriate personnel. Providing this housekeeping service keeps our entire assisted living facility running smoothly and gives you a great sense of accomplishment!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 6 months of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
  • The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • This contract requires employees to have the following immunizations: TB. The successful candidate must be able to provide immunization records for this or be willing to take the vaccination if offered the job.

Description of environment: This is located in an assisted living setting

Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

Travel: None

As part of the onboarding process for this contract, you will be required to provide proof that you are free of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
